THE COLOURED CREATURES

What are we?
Coloured Creatures is a creative entertainment agency which offers different concepts and performances for festivals, parties, corporate events, birthday parties, weddings, babyshowers and other festivities.

Our goal is to bring more color, movement, joy and art to life, to connect people with each other and connect them with their inner playful child.

We have a selection of customized concepts with creative activities, performances, acts, workshops and dance classes. If you rather have a concept custom made for your event, we are more than happy to do this for you. Contact us to see what is possible.

Because of our broad network, our experience and the many concepts that we offer, it is also possible to hire us for the complete production of your stage, festival, event, celebration or the production of the entire creative program of your event.

Who are we?
The creative creatures of Coloured Creatures is Aisha Wesly. Graduated in 2012 from the ArtEZ Institute of Arts academy, direction dance teacher. She loves movement, dance, art, traveling, other cultures, nature, her campervan and connecting with likeminded people. With a strong passion for teaching, organizing, dancing, other arts disciplines, parties, festivals and bringing people together, Coloured Creatures came to life. What started more than 10 years ago with painting her friends for fun at a festival, has grown into a company with many amazing artists. We organize interactive dance performances and art workshops on festivals, corporate parties and kids birthday parties.

Coloured Creatures cannot exist without the amazing creative freelancer crew who perform and work with us. I am very grateful for their help, good vibes, creativity and inspiration.

Dance
‘What drives us to move? Where do our movements come from? How do we move in relation to- and with each other and to the space around us? What and how do we feel when dance and how do we translate this into our bodies? These questions are important for me as a starting point for the dances I create and classes I teach’.

In 2012 I graduated to be a dance teacher, from the ArtEZ Institute of Arts academy. During and after this bachelor of dance I was active as a dance teacher in several ballet- and sport schools and taught several dance projects on primary- and high schools. I was teaching all ages and a lot of different dance styles, from classical ballet, contemporary, improvisation, jazz, streetdance to zumba and aerobic. Next to that I was the choreographer and dance teacher in several dance- and (location) theatre youth projects, from the NNT and Club Guy & Roni in Groningen.

In 2014 I went to New York City to follow dance classes mostly at Peridance, Gibneydance and Steps on Broadway. To have an intense dance training and inspiration in different modern dance techniques and styles. Since a few years I love to train in (for me) new types of movement: aerial, acro yoga, acrobatics, yoga and meditations. These years of teaching and training led to my vision and questions of movement origin and my own movement style. These classes, trainings, experiences and inspiration I use in my own dance workshops and classes. Last years I mostly teach classical ballet and contemporary dance.
